730 days.

1st of July marked our two year anniversary.

Sandwich toast

We headed down to London for the weekend to celebrate. We love London! Last year we managed to pop down several times for various gigs, a theatre show and museum visits. For some reason it took us until a couple of weeks back for our first visit of 2011.

Ice cream @ Westminster is always first port of call

We do love ourselves some screamy, yum!

That evening we booked ourselves onto a Jack the Ripper tour. I had searched the net looking for what would hopefully be the best one. I am certain we found it! Our guide Megan took us on a two hour stroll, showing us the murder sites and the like, on what turned out to a delightfully warm & sunny night.

Pub where it is believed a couple of the victims frequented

The tour was awesome. Best £8 spent in a long time. If you are in London anytime soon and are stuck for something to do, book yourself on a Ripper Tour

We made our way over to Leicester Square for a late night bite to eat. We found a little cafe that was bustling with life. There is something quite peaceful about sitting still, calm & relaxed while the world continues to rush by all around you.

Next morning we packed up and carried our sleepy bodies over to Frying Pan Alley for some breakfast cuppys at The Hummingbird Bakery

Delish

We decided to walk the tour route again as we wanted to spend a little more time at certain spots. It was then time to head over to The Old Operating Theatre Museum

It is the oldest in Europe and rather strangely placed above a church!
We managed to catch a talk about the theatre which was super informative if a little gruesome!

Over the road from The Old Operating Theatre Museum is Bourough Market. Stalls are stacked with a whole variety of treats. I love food markets, even if I have no money to spend I enjoy walking round and spying all the delicious homemade foods.

We were feeling a little peckish so grabbed ourselves a super yummy brownie.

After a quick trip to Camden we made our way to Euston station and hopped on the train back home.

A step back in time, glorious weather and spending time with the boy I love. Who could ask for anything more!
